The Ship

The picture above is a staircase in the main lobby of the ship.

I haven't really said anything about the ship, so I will. First, it is HUGE. It's so big, that every single day, Grandma and I would get lost. Second, it is very fancy. All the time, there are workers polishing everything up. Third, the crew is the nicest group of people I have ever met. Whenever we saw our steward, Koko, he would say hello to us.

Here is a picture that really shows the size of it:

The white thing, on the starboard side and aft, is a regular sized float plane. I took this picture from the top of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.

The Food:

The food was wonderful! At lunch I would usually have pasta. Bingbong was usually the person doing the Italian part, so she would make the pasta. During the trip I tried lots of different flavors of mousse. I had mango, passion fruit, strawberry, raspberry, and chocolate. I really liked the 4 course meals in the Vista Dining Room.

Sitka and Ketchikan

Yesterday I didn't blog because the internet was to slow. We were in Sitka the first part of the day and then we headed off to Juneau. In Sitka, we took a nature and historic walking tour that went to the raptor center. It was a really good tour. I have plenty of pictures, but I can't post them because it will take up a lot of minutes. When I get to Grandma's, I will post lots of them. We also watched a show on the ship. It was a Master illusionist and comedian. He was hilarious. His magic tricks were really cool also. Right now, he standing at the cafe right in front of me.

Right now we are docked in Ketchikan. We didn't get tickets for any shore excursions, so we just went shopping. First, we went to the famous Creek Street and shopped there. Then we went to the stores near the ship. Of course, it was raining. I was glad I had my umbrella.

Tomorrow we will be in Victoria.

Juneau

Today we are in Juneau. This morning we got off the ship and went shopping. We shopped at Del Sol, the world's largest color-changing retailer. I bought 3 color-changing nail polishes, and Del Sol's bags are color-changing also. Then we went to the Capitol building and took a tour of it. We then did some more shopping as we returned to the boat to drop off our coats and umbrellas and pick up sunglasses. It is a really nice, warm, and sunny day! When we got off the ship, we went to the Mt. Roberts Tramway and went up the mountainside to the shops at the top of the mountain.
When we returned to the ship, I swam in the Lido pool. It's even warm enough that they took the dome cover off of it. We are going to eat at the Lido place tonight. We are going to leave Juneau in about 2 hours.

Grandma and I are having so much fun together.
